Join Boston Ballet and Boston Ballet School at the Boston Opera House on Wednesday, May 8 at 7pm for the annual Next Generation performance featuring students of Boston Ballet School’s Pre-Professional Program in collaboration with the New England Conservatory Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, with appearances by Boston Ballet II.
Under the baton of Boston Ballet’s Music Director Jonathan McPhee, this year's exciting program includes Jerome Robbins’ Fanfare, a bright and witty take on Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. Other program highlights include the Grand Pas de deux from Act III of Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty and Leonard Bernstein’s rousing overture from Candide, played by the New England ConservatoryYouth Philharmonic Orchestra.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to celebrate the collaboration of music, dance, and youth in the arts.
